David Gould
Role: IT Support Engineer
What I do:
At Stratiis I work on the helpdesk mainly answering calls and emails and providing support to our customers. I work with the team to ensure that our customers systems are up to date and minimize downtime for our clients and to ensure that their working day is without issues.
About:
I started at Stratiis in 2013 as an apprentice after completing my HND at College. I now have almost 13 years working at Stratiis having worked on site as well as in the office I have developed a range of skills that help me to provide support to our clients.
What I like about my role:
The thing I enjoy most about my job role and IT specifically is that not every day or problem is the same. You need to develop good problem solving skills as well as technical knowledge to get to the bottom of an issue and this can make your day pass by quite quickly.
Key Strengths:
I feel my key strengths are that I have great problem-solving skills and a decent level of technical knowledge when it comes to IT issues. Having been doing IT for many years I have picked up a wide range of knowledge in many areas; this helps to diagnose issues I may have seen before or new ones that do appear every day.
Outside of work:
Outside of work isn’t much different to work I am usually on my computer and playing football. I enjoy watching TV series and films and enjoying the occasional night out and game of golf.
